: You get the keys from a lock box. Theres free parking. The house itself seemed really clean. The beds, bedding and furnishings have to be the best Ive ever seen in a cottage. EVER. The sofa's are quality Loaf sofas and really soft and squidgy. ( prob not the best for someone with a bad back, but there are other chairs ) The mattresses are thick, medium tension, with Wool room bedding thats breathable ( women notice these things ) and there are blankets and throws everywhere for you to get comfortable with and snuggle. Theres an outside log burner, and a small covered side veranda. The kitchen facilities are to a high standard, with a Smeg coffee machine too.
: The house isnt on the loch exactly, there are a couple of houses in front of you, although you have a loch view, and you can walk to it within 30 seconds, its not entirely on the loch, its in a small village. The nearest shop is 10 minutes away, and the nearest medium supermarket is 37 minutes away traffic dependent. It is in the middle of nowhere. We struggled with the house temperature. Its really hot all of the time. Perfect for winter, but in the summer its not so great as doors and windows cannot always be left open, especially if you have pets as the garden isnt secure. Outside tempersture was 15 and inside was 24. We couldn't locate a fan either. This house has large glass doors that face towards south west, facing the road. Everyone that walked past seemed to glare in which was a little bit of a privacy invasion. This property would benefit from heat reflecting privacy window film to help with the above both issues. Speaking of which there are 2 local dogs that daily seem to come up to the house glass doors. No owners come to retrieve them. These dogs also think its ok to toilet on the lawn. If you have nervous dogs with you this isnt helpful as they can see them. Theyre frienndly enough, but shouldnt be allowed to roam on the property at will. Ticks are everywhere here. Make sure you have tick protecting spray containing DEET and your animals are also protected, as literally every time we went out, we got them on us even walking on the grass. If you are ok with the above issues this is a wonderful property, and i can imagine its beautiful in winter.
