: The information on bookings was stated 24 hours front desk but that is not true. The host should show up at 15.00 but he was not there and we need to call him and that was they only time we saw him.

: Fab location in the high bit of the historic old town so just 10 minutes to walk down into the centre & within 2 minutes there's a friendly local bar for breakfast, a very funky bistrot (though service unbelievably slow) and a great and not at all pricy restaurant Pani e Casu which needs booking, has fab pasta dishes but is primarily for carnivores (which we're not!) and justifiably proud of its many pork dishes but local horse and donkey also... The apartment - one of 8 very nicely done modern conversions in an ancient building - is nicely decorated with a small but well appointed bathroom, quite spacious bedroom + pleasingly combined and reasonably spacious living room/kitchenette so spending an evening in is very comfy (and Italian TV is a lot better than it used to be!!!). Owner Andrea is a treasure, his enthusiastic suggestions all good, always available on whatsapp even for the most minor questions; and if you need a cab back to the airport make sure you get him to organize it, as the taxi situation in Cagliari is not the best. Best beach, by the way, is Poetto, a 30 minute bus ride away - which is quite a few kilometres long so great to walk as well as swim and has a couple of great chiringuitos as well as a few that are not so good.
: There's absolutely no down side here; just be aware that like Lisbon, for example, this is a mega hilly town!
