  : The food was good, but far too expensive. Joseph saved the stay, otherwise this review would have been much worse.
  : Other than Joseph (The son/chef) we were clearly not welcome. The mother was the most miserable and unfriendly person we met in Spain during 12 days and 2500 miles. She made it very plain to us that she didnt like us. Not sure if thats because we were on motorcycles or just English. But, if youre in the hospitality game, you have to remove such things from your personality, and get your act together. Youre CHARGING people to stay remember.The rooms were very poor. I stayed right at the top of the house, no Wi-Fi, the bed wasnt long enough for my 6ft frame and was damp. The bathroom was very poorly equipped and overall it was a place to stop and endure. There are dogs that I think belong to the owners that run about all night barking like crazy, and there is a large construction taking place close by, so dont expect any peace and quiet.The only other room that was rented, in the whole place was to two women, and for whatever reason they put them right next to me, so again, paper thin walls meant noise. Seemed to be inconsiderate to me.The dinning room was really cold and barren, windows open and chilly.This is where things improved, but I think because we made so much effort to have a good chat and banter with the chef. His food was very good, but its the most expensive meal we had on the entire trip, and not really befitting of the surroundings and the rest of the accommodation. We are well travelled and can say this with many years of staying and eating in all parts of Spain.Unfortunately Joseph wasnt going to be there in the morning, so the breakfast was served and presumably cooked by the mother. It was served to us with what I can honestly say was bordering on hatredand was totally tasteless. Just awful, really poor.By contrast, she was all sweetness and light to the two ladies on the other table. Couldnt do enough for them. We had to ask for coffee, we had to ask for water, we had to ask for salt. Get the picture?
