  : Good beds, nice kitchen, they even have WiFi, very quiet, only a few more other guests, had a 6-persons room for myself. Take your own food, though 1 km down the road there's a good restaurant. Great location for nature and hiking.

  : The location was beautiful - very peaceful with incredible views. The price for a private room (4 bunkbeds but you have it to yourself) was good & the place was clean
  : The walls of my room were paper thin - I could hear my neighbours as though they were in the room with me. The bed was uncomfortable, the staff member was hardly ever there and did not speak English. The place felt less like a hostel and more an outdoor education centre - cold and a bit industrial. As a solo traveller I was relying on the hostel being homely with the opportunity to meet other travellers in the communal areas but that wasn't the case. The common area (just wooden benches) and kitchen were taken over by a big group of students for 2 of the nights, conducting classes and making large communal meals so just I spent my time in my room. The location is beautiful but very isolated - right up in the Teno mountains. If you just want to hike locally, maybe explore the towns on the North coast it could be fine - but it's an hour down very windy narrow mountain roads to reach Teide and the west/south of the island. I found the roads stressful enough in the daytime so returned early each night as they would be downright scary in the dark. Nowhere walkable for a drink or dinner in the evenings. Wouldn't stay there again.

  : Very beautiful surrounding/view, next to hiking trails, large shared kitchen, some free parking spaces, quiet surroundings, good wifi in lounge (not in rooms)
  : I had trouble reaching the property by car (I was coming from Santiago del Teide: the gps send me on the TF-82, then take sharp left and then right onto Cam. las Barreras, but this road was blocked with large gate that was locked). I tried to reach the property by telephone number mentioned on booking.com but it went immediately to voicemail, no reaction on my messages either. By turning back to Santiago del Teide and taking TF-436 I eventually arrived. It was dark, no staff was waiting (even though they had asked me to say when I would be arriving). Fortunately there was 1 other guest who unlocked the door to let me in. Inside was another telephone number on which I was able to get into contact with a staff member (what if no other guest would have been there to let me in??). A friendly Spanish-speaking lady soon came over to go over everything. The private bathroom is not in the room: you have to go outside (literally) and into main building, which is not very practical at night. Bathroom is large, but very dated. The floor of the bathroom was not clean: many hairs. Shower is hot, but very low water pressure. As is mentioned on the site: no towel, no toiletries. Room is very basic: 2 bunk beds, 2 night tables with nightlight, big closet and small wooden bench. There is a socket next to each night table but this is used by the nightlight. Sheets for the bed are provided (bed is not made in advance). Wall between rooms is very thin, made partially by large wooden separator-door to connect rooms. When I was there, it was very windy and the separator door was making a lot of noise throughout the night - it was impossible to sleep.

  : Good location, in the middle of the mountains, hiking path is just behind the building. Big kitchen, lots of mugs, cutlery and so on.
  : We had the room inside the main building what is good because there is a wifi signal. What is super annoying is noice of the door. Actually all the doors - the main door and doors of the rooms are super noisy and if someone goes on the toilet in the middle of the night, you will hear that. Also the walls between the rooms are really thin so you can here every move of the other people in the room next to you, so it doesnt feel like private room.

  : Very nice area in middle of natural park. Simple but clean. Basic equipment but efficient for couple of days stay. Plenty of kitchen utilities.
  : The space between beds (height) on bunk beds is quite not enough for an average tall person - watch your head!
