  : Location was interesting. Some quality pre war buildings. Lots of car repair shops and mechanics in the area. Got to practice Caribbean Spanish, leeward island English and even some French and Bengali. Locals, though appearing somewhat rough, were communicative and engaging. Good Dominican restaurant in front of the subway station, opposite of the Ortiz Funeral Home. The Indian fruit vendor and a gregarious Moroccan food vendor on the same corner by the station gave some stability to the area. House is 2 blocks from the station on a tree lined street. Has a home like, solid early 20th century feel to it. Ok for a one or two night stay.

  : 1. No internet. I contacted the guy, he promised he will check it, but he never come. I have to go to town to use internet. 2. I stayed 4 nights. Given only 2 towels and 2 pieces of soap. I requested if can get more soap and towels after I used the one I was given, he promised but never provided me. 3. I paid deposit of $100, yet I didn't get it, I texted him, no response. I don't think so I will get it.4. The bathroom, especially the toilet is very small. I struggle to sit there because of the space , I'm tall and my knees were touching the sink 5. The neighborhood has lots of homeless and lots of garbage all over 6. It was expensive $ 655 for 4 nights, about $164 per night.

  : Very close to a subway station, very convenient access to the apartment (several code locks, no key required), more or less clean sheets and everything overall. The apartment is small but designed ok.
  : 1. Security deposit of an additional $100 that the host will not return and that will not be in any information description or receipt. The host also will not communicate with you regarding this after your stay is finished. 2. WiFi is not usable 80% of the time, either you cannot connect (to either of the networks provided by the host) or the connection is not working (last time, due to DNS problems, for example). Connection quality, when it is presented, is awful, forget even about Zoom meetings. 3. You're required to communicate outside of booking.com and make several calls to ensure that the apartment is not canceled. You will not be able to just "book and pay". 4. Not the apartment problem, but the surrounding area is one of the most dangerous areas in NY (due to crime rates). Be careful.
