  : We stayed early April as a group of 10 for a bit of Spring Skiing. The hotel itself isnt awful, the rooms are well presented, reasonably sized, nicely modernised. However, lots of small things added together make it not a great stay.The rooms are extremely hot, we needed the balcony doors open which means you are then awoken by the piste bashers, the beds are very hard and uncomfortable and when booking a king size these are not true king beds they are just two singles with a hard middle where the mattresses join. The bathroom isnt a room as such so consider this if youre travelling with someone that may not be comfortable with this.The hotel itself has had a lot of modernisation but as a result now lacks any distinct character or charm. The communal areas such as the bar and restaurant are cold and unwelcoming, especially the bar. The bar area does not feel like a place where you want to gather with friends and family and socialise. We only had breakfast in the restaurant but the food was always cold regardless of what time we went, there was plenty to choose from but the quality just wasnt there, the eggs were pretty much inedible. It isnt difficult to serve fresh warm breakfast and is important when youre heading out skiing for the day.The location of the hotel sounds great but in reality you can get caught out with the ski in ski out. It is a difficult red in Spring (fine for 9 of us but wasnt great for the newer skier), very icy in the morning and very slushy in the afternoon and the path into the hotel could be difficult to navigate for newer skiers if it is busy. The run only leads down to the gondola station and there is no way to cut across to any other runs for the chair lifts so one run in and one run out, so be cautious if heading out for a long day out that you end up on the right set of runs and high enough before the lifts shut.
