  : The cottage was really well equipped (especially the kitchen) and very warm and cosy - the stove was particularly welcome on the chilly evenings. Everything was in excellent condition and the house was beautifully presented. The beds were also super comfy and there was plenty of hot water for long baths after hiking. For us the location was absolutely ideal as we were visiting family and friends in the local area, but I would recommend it to anyone as it so perfectly situated for many of West Yorkshire's attractions (the Piece Hall and Shibden Hall if you like Gentleman Jack; Haworth if you're interested in the Bronte sisters; Saltaire if you like industrial architecture and the work of David Hockney ... to name but three!)
  : We missed having a real dining table. I can see why the owners have chosen to save space, but the teeny dining set provided would have been unmanageable if there had been more than the two of us. Even for a couple, it wasn't ideal. The tiled walls on the stairs and landing were also a bit odd, but that's just a matter of taste.
