: The room was very clean and spacious. They also left complimentary instant coffees and teas. Parking was convenient. Wifi was good.
: The room was called a Family Suite, but it's not technically a suite. Everything is laid out in one large room. There isn't a door separating a sitting area from the bedroom. For work purposes, this isn't very convenient. There isn't a front desk for checking in or out. Payment for the room was in cash. I prefer card based transactions. The road to reach the property needs major repair.

: My overall experience at Chayka was pretty good. Location was the best for my needs. Although, if you are touristing Kiev, it would probably be far for you. Public transport works exceptionally though and would get you to the city center in about 1 hour. The area Chayki, where the hotel is located, has a great infrastructure. You can find shops, groceries, post office, eateries, pharmacies, clinics, gyms, schools, kindergartens, medical labs etc. And the greenery around is wild and beautiful. My hotel room was spacious, VERY clean, bedding and towels were changed every 3 days. The room counts with kitchenette, where I could cook some basic meals. Plumbing, windows, doors, floors, heating system, hot/cold water, water heater... everything was in perfect state, new and functioning great. There were some internet connection issues few days during my state, so the owner switched to another internet provider. After that, there was no issue with the WiFi. The whole concept of the hotel is of my liking: it's a town-home adapted for the hotel. Few rooms/guests, in a nice 3 story building. Feels like home. It was a hot summer time and there is no AC in the room, but the electric fan was potent enough to cool down the space and served the purpose. The owner was in contact pretty much 24/7 and answered all my questions. I want to acknowledge that the owner is very attentive... after a few days of failing internet (which was important for my remote work), back and forward messaging with her, did not she only got the problem solved, but also rewarded me with a delicatessen gift basket. Just a nice, courtesy detail of her attention, which I appreciated. The prepay for the hotel was unusual - cash prepay to a personal account. There is no prepay through Booking.com. Once I was there, I realized that it seems to be a common practice in Ukraine. I would definitely recommend this place and will most likely use it again in my future trips to Kiev.
