With a grand entrance and driveway family-run Solar da Salvadoura is a 16th-century manor house. Overlooking the mountains around Goães it has an outdoor pool in a large garden with water features. Each accommodation option has a private bathroom and some have exposed stone walls a covered terrace or fireplace. The suites are located in the main house and the self-catering studio and villa are within the grounds.
Both self-catering units include a kitchen area and the villa has a wood-fired barbecue. There is a restaurant in Goães less than a 10-minute walk away. Owned by the same family since it was built the property is on a farm and guests can take a walk among the fruit trees. It also has a pool table lounge with antique-style furniture and a chapel decorated with Portuguese blue tiles.
Braga is 17 km from Solar da Salvadoura House and the edge of Peneda-Gerês National Park is 20 km away.
