  : Dear Sir or Madame,some weeks ago we booked a room for one night in your Hotel Palace Bologna.We did the booking via booking.com and were really confident because the shown pictures during the booking looked very nice. Rooms looked very comfortable and clean with a romantic Italian touch! Very nice! This was the reason why we choose your hotel as our destination during our long planned visit in Bologna.We arrived in Bologna and had really directly a great time until we checked-in in your hotel. Unfortunately we were really shocked, when we entered the provided room!!The room was everything else but had nothing to do with the pictures showed on your website or booking.com!The walls were damaged, lights were defect, air conditioning didn‘t work properly. The bathroom was really unclean and damaged and it was very uncomfortable only to think to take a shower. Water constantly flued in the toilette with no chance to stop it. Additionally for me it was not even possible to take a shower, because the shower head was ca. 20cm below my head and the position is fixed!There are everywere dirty spots on the walls, on the chair and on the carpet. The „2-person-bed“ was like a children-bed!And the whole room was occupied with a very very uncomfortable smell!!I can only repeat that the provided room had absolutely nothing to do with the shown pictures and explanations during the booking process.Due to the condition of the room we decided directly to check-out and didn‘t want to stay any longer in your hotel. We had to search directly for a new hotel, which took a while. This is the reason why we couldn‘t proceed with our vacation in the beautifull Bologna as planned and our plans were destroyed.We are really angry because there was not even an apology by the staff when we checked-out! This is really no good service!Attached some pictures of the provided room. You can compare it with your website pictures and decide on your own, if I‘m overacting!

Disappointing

  : The only good thing about this hotel is - the location! Very close to Piazza Maggiore. Everything else in the hotel is disappointing! The room was small and full of dust. There was no hot water in the improvised bathroom. The air conditioner was noisy so you have to turn it off if you want to sleep. When I entered the hotel with a large suitcase, a guy at the reception didn't even try to help me. So, if you staying only one night (just like me) it is survivable. Otherwise, it will be horrible!

  : The location is good and easy to reach. Staff was friendly and helpful and the bed was comfortable enough.
  : The hotel needs some serious improvements. I understand it's an old building so I didn't expect everything to be modern and efficient, but it does look like the hotel lack some effort into making the bedrooms comfortable and providing the guests some very basic and useful things. I find it absurd that in Italy, in July, there is no fridge for the guests to use. It was over 35 degrees everyday and we couldn't even have fresh water to drink without having to pay for it every time. No glasses or cutlery in the bedrooms, no way of boiling water for coffee or tea. A fridge is extremely necessary in the summer in Italy. The air-conditioning was super old and didn't work properly, you are also unable to control it anyway even to turn it on or off. Bathroom was not so bad but the drain in the shower seemed to be stuck, even if the water flow wasn't strong due to the shower also being super old and clogged. The hotel per se looks good but you can tell that it hasn't really been taken much care.
