  : The bedding was clean
  : Overwhelming smell of damp as soon as you walked in the door.The settee and chair was really uncomfortable and stainedThe chair pads on the dining chairs were mouldyThe shower was diabolical- no water pressure and because of the shape of the bath you couldnt stand under the waterflow so had to take the shower from the attachment and hold it. Not ideal The floor in the kitchen felt very spongy bear the washing machine which I would get checked as I think there has been or there is a leak somewhereThe carpet in the hallway is threadbareThe stair gate does not close (not that we needed it but otherwise what is the point of it!)No chair or anywhere to put your make up on in the bedroom. Damp on the bedroom wall. This is due to the blocked/broken guttering outside. The standard of fittings was poorAlthough the location was good for the beach, the area made me a little nervous

  : Easy access to keys. Done the job for a couple of lads working away from home.
  : I wouldnt class it as an apartment, its just a upstairs flat on a council estate. TV could do with a upgrade there was lines on the screen. New iron needed. Shower not built for purpose, you have to lean over the bath to get wet. Very busy street, cars and motorcycles driving past every 2 minutes. Old beds that creak the second you move a inch.

  : The unwelcoming smell of damp at the front door needs addressing urgently as it is a health risk. The settee and armchair were tired and needs to be replaced with more comfortable seating. The doors were squeaky. Overall the current state of the property is not suitable as a holiday let. The kerb appeal leaves a lot to be desired.

  : The hosts were super friendly and helpful, and I had lots of contact before the stay! The flat was beautifully clean, with nicely decorated and comfortable bedrooms. The kitchen was equipped well for cooking and the living room was comfortable.
  : The showers water pressure wasnt great and because of the baths sloping wall you couldnt get under the shower head well. However for use as a bath it was very comfortable and the water heated very well!

  : The property felt very spacious considering it was a flat, the main bedroom is huge with high ceilings and loads of storage. The bed in the main bedroom is the comfiest, but was ok. The kitchen is fine and has all the basic stuff you need, but there is a considerable slope to the floor which takes some getting used to! The bathroom is lovely and was very clean. The lounge is spacious but the sofa and armchair are really not very comfortable. We didnt use the sofa bed in the lounge. The entrance to the property isnt very attractive and there is a strong damp smell when you first enter. There is a basic back yard outside but you do share that with the downstairs flat so we didnt spend any time out there. Location wise its really mixed, Blythe itself seems sadly quite neglected and run down in areas but near this property you have a fantastic park which the kids absolutely loved with a splash play area if its warm enough. There is a lovely bakery just a few doors down too. We also loved exploring the beach and dock lands and found some lovely cafes and fish and chip shops here. Blythe was also a great place for us to explore other local areas, highly recommend a visit to Seaton Sluice, crabbing at Cresswell beach, and a visit to Bamburgh. You also have Whitley Bay and Tynemouth not far away. I feel generally what we paid was a bit much for what we got but staycations seemed generally more expensive this year thanks to COVID.
