: The location of the cottage afforded a fantastic view of Loch Long. Despite the weather, we really enjoyed our stay as the main purpose for our stay was to walk through Puck's Glen and visit Benmore Botanic Gardens which were 15 mins away by car. The cottage is cosy, and the log fireplace was a great extra; complete with a well-equipped kitchen for all your cooking needs. There is a patio which looks out over the Loch and would be great to enjoy breakfast and the songs of the finches. The space in the cottage is good and it was nice to have 2 bathrooms considering there was 3 of us. Thoughtful extras included a selection of books, DVDs, Nintendo Wii (plus games), board games and a mini table tennis set. WiFi also works great. Plenty to keep yourself amused if you were stuck inside all day. We loved the wee welcome basket which consisted of homemade shortbread, farm fresh eggs, oatcakes, milk, meringues and tea cakes. All in all a lovely spot for a weekend away from the city complete with stunning walks within easy distance.
: Something that could have been improved is the attention to detail in terms of cleaning. Some of the cutlery and most of the glassware were not entirely clean. The glasses, in particular, were dusty and had visible smudges. There were areas with visible dust including collected hair (or fur?). The blanket in the main bedroom had quite a lot of dog hair on it which I didn't realise until I used it and had an allergic reaction. It was a shame that we couldn't enjoy the beautiful bath due to the hot water not lasting long enough to fill it. My final point is just a suggestion; the fake flowers should either be cleaned or replaced with cuttings from the farm which has loads of beautiful flowers and foliage and would look a lot nicer.

: The location is exceptionally beautiful and very quiet. A wonderful place to destress and reconnect with nature. There are hiking paths going off into the hills and woods just behind the property. Ardentinny Beach is only a short drive away. The view from the terrace is amazing. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped.
: We got a bit frazzled on the first night as we had never used an induction cooker before. So a little note with simple step by step guidance for the uninitiated beside the cooker would have been helpful.
