  : the location was exceptional, the apartment was very comfortable.
  : apartment equipment not set up for 5 people. only 4 of mugs, glasses, plates etc. only one key fob worked, numerous light bulbs not working throughout the apartment, including bedside lights which had no bulbs at all. no welcome tray as per photos. we did get more crockery etc delivered on the Saturday.

  : I have never felt compelled to leave a bad review before, however, please be careful if you book here. The booking process and key collection was the most protracted I have ever known. The apartment is very basic, huge cigarette burn in the carpet, lights not working and uncomfortable beds. The car parking pass was not in the apartment and I could not reach anyone on the Birmingham booking line(closed at 6pm). I managed to speak to another person dealing with Manchester bookings who said they would ring me back, they didn’t - hence fretful night worrying about being fined in the car park, thankfully I wasn’t. Most importantly, there is sheltered housing for 101 beds for the homeless in a building outside the windows for the apartment, we were kept awake from 3am until 7am with constant arguing, shouting, visits from the police. We will not be returning.

  : The apartment was excellent. Very comfortable, clean, spacious, with all the facilities we required. Amazing value for money and I would definitely like to stay there again if I return to Birmingham
  : I was given instructions to collect the keys from a key safe at a local petrol station. However, the code I have been given was incorrect. I then spent approximately 45 minutes at the petrol station trying to contact Opulent, to try to obtain the correct key code. I tried several numbers, sent several emails and left voicemails. However, when I eventually got through to Opulent, the staff were helpful and apologetic and were able to give the correct code. They later called me again to check if everything was ok

  : The communication was terrible. I had asked for early check in and received no reply.Then on the day did not receive the code to pick the key up until after check in time which meant by the time we travelled to get the key which was at a different location to the apartments it was 5pm before we got into the apartment! A great shame as the apartment was superb!

  : Less than 24hours before check in I was sent a bill for a£200 security deposit which was not mentioned at time of booking. Opulent living emailed me four times (which i replied to each time) to ask for my email!!???I had to contact bookings.com in the end.

  : The apartment was larger than I expected. Having an ensuite in one of the rooms was very useful. A Smart TV was also an added bonus. The team were perfectly pleasesnt when I spoke to them.
  : The key collection is a bit annoying.As a solo traveller, having to collect the pass from a room on the 4th floor is a risk - I got caught out and fined - however I am apealling that.
