: The cottage was beautiful and really nicely done, a perfect size for 4 of us for a few days. Quick cycle into West Wittering and to the coast, and to the harbour at Itchenor. The pictures don't do the little terraced garden justice, which was bigger than expected!
: Unfortunately, all 3 beds were covered in hairs when we arrived. This is pretty nasty anyway, let alone during a pandemic! I can't attach pictures on here but it looked like dogs had slept in all the beds! As it was past 11pm, we emailed rather than called the emergency number. In the morning, we washed the sheets ourselves, and asked for a refund for night one. The company said they refuse to believe me as their cleaners are excellent and that they probably just malted a hair, and that because we didn't call the emergency number at the time, they didn't have the opportunity to address our concerns (what would have happened - we sat in the living room with the cleaners whilst they put a wash on?!). After talking to them again today they said the cleaners hoovered the mattresses, and even though pictures said otherwise they refused to do anything. We travelled with a diabetic (which is of course our risk to take on) and I'm sad to leave a bad review as this could have been easily resolved, but disappointed by the standard of cleaning and then by the conversations with Henry Adams Cottages.

: Self catering with very poor facilities. Kitchen not well equipped and the whole cottage needed cleaning properly. Peddle bin dirty and lack of attention was everywhere in this cottage. Bed linen poor, beds needed new mattresses and towels old, dull and grey. Standards did not meet the criteria that we were lead to believe by the marketing of this property. If fact apart from the cottage being pretty nothing matched our expectations.
: Everything was dire!
