  : we have stayed here a few times as it is handy for visiting friends. On this occasion we stayed two nights and joined in the funeral tea in the large function room which was well appointed and catered. we have enjoyed meals in the restaurant several times with good food and attentive staff.Having a separate door leading to the bedrooms is very handy and private. Lovely big white fluffy towels provided plus toiletries. also a good supply of tea, coffee, biscuits which is welcome when no breakfast is available on certain days. Not a problem as shops nearby.
  : unfortunately the handrail for the second few stairs to the rooms was missing with damage to the walls. It was awkward climbing the stairs with no handrail for me. The hallway and the room could do with fresh paint to the walls although everything seemed very clean except for some ceiling cobwebs above the bed.I would also suggest that, on redecoration, some thought is given to stop the door of the en-suite and the room door colliding thus causing unsightly chips and dents. a stopper on one of the doors could prevent this.A little TLC needed and then the stay would be perfect.

  : I think the room was maybe a little overpriced, but food, service, and location were all on point, staff knew who we were as soon as we arrived and were very helpful throughout our stay.That personal touch made the whole experience worthwhile, and the entertainment was outstanding (I'm your man, George Michael)The trainee manager that night deserves a special mention as he was superb that night considering how busy it was.
  : Not much that I would write about, perhaps the room price was a little high, but that's just my opinion.
