  : Check-in system is efficient & practical. Great location in the town area. There were some lovely Canistrelli biscuits with the tea/coffee making facilities which I really appreciated. I was able to leave my bags in the caf after checking out while I went to the beach before my bus was due to leave.
  : I like being able to talk to someone at reception. The check-in/out system removes the need for this which feels somewhat impersonal to me. Not a criticism, more of a personal preference.

  : A real surprise find ... The hotel rooms are situated on the second floor of an aging city apartment block, above the cafe / restaurant of the same name. The interior of the hotel has been extensively refurbished to a high standard, with crisp paint and decoration, wooded floors and good air conditioning. We booked connecting rooms, both of which were fairly compact (but as expected), expertly decorated and fitted out with great care and attention. The brasserie .. Le Cafe du Centre has a good menu, with excellently cooked, reasonably priced food. Could have sent hours at the tables on the pavement, drinking coffee, pastis and wine, watching the world go by.
  : The hotel rooms are accessed via a door on the street ( to the left of the cafe) and then a secure door on the second floor. In theory they are accessed via an app on the mobile. This was fairly frustrating and difficult to use, and often did not work. The alternative key fob worked perfectly. just needs better tech.

  : Monsieur Miot is in a great location and ideally placed if, like us, you are taking an early morning ferry from Bastia port. It's not, however, a destination hotel, which is what we understood from the description and it really is not a 'boutique' hotel and does not come with any of the amenities traditionally associated with boutique hotels. For the room rates, I believe that breakfast should be included. The hotel works for a one night stay but no longer.
  : There was a power cut when we stayed which was no fault of the hotel at all as there had been a storm. However, it lasted from 9pm until 11am the following morning and we feel could have been handled better by the staff. We did not have hot water on one morning and asked for clean towels but did not get any.

  : Interesting where they were able to fit the powder room - the door was a bit too close to the bed
