  : We loved our little cottage! It was a 2 bedroom, the perfect size for our family of four with two teens. It was very close to the entrance to Acadia, and about a 10 min drive to downtown bar harbor. The perfect spot. It was quaint and outdoorsy while still being very clean
  : The only slightly weird thing that happened was we were woken up in the middle of the night by a loud crashing and thrashing sound. We looked all around the cabin and couldn't find anything. The next morning, we found that they had put up a squirrel trap on the side of the cabin and a squirrel had gotten stuck inside (thus the loud racket). We called the front desk and they took down the trap.

  : Room was fine. The room was nice for the price given the expensive peak season in the area. We were stuck on the mainland after the last ferryboat to our destination was full. We were able to book this new to us spot at the last minute which was much appreciated. Pets are allowed (they have a dog exercise area) though the amount of the pet fee was not disclosed until after booking.
  : Carpeting was a little dirty and when I moved the damp bath mat it came up grayish. We encountered no staff during our stay. My name and room number was on a piece of paper taped on the office door. There was a note that the door was unlocked and the key in the room. In many parts of the world, that would have made me very uncomfortable. In Maine, I don't worry so much about security as people are generally trustworthy here.

  : The location is great, nearby Chart Room restaurant and entrance to Acadia. It was quiet, despite being on the main road. Convenient parking right outside my room. Modern updated bath with walk-in shower. Comfortable bed. Seating areas outside each room.
  : My room had refrigerator as advertised, but it was a dorm style one and it was on the floor, not on a counter. This made it very difficult to view the settings and for the duration of my stay, everything was frozen, despite adjusting the settings numerous times.While the bathroom was updated and very clean for the most part, there was black mold around the sink.Carpet could use a cleaning. A/C unit vents were clogged with dust.

  : The property was cute, clean and close to Acadia Park and Bar Harbor. The employees were very friendly and eager to make our stay enjoyable.
  : I booked this property specifically based on the advertised “shuttle to Bar Harbor and Acadia”. No such shuttle exists. There is a public bus system that provides transportation throughout Acadia and into Bar Harbor. However, it does NOT stop at this hotel. When I asked the hotel staff about the advertised shuttle service I was told by the staff to just stand on the highway and try to wave a bus down if I saw one, unfortunately I had no luck with that. Uber, Lyft and taxi services are unreliable here so if you choose to stay at this hotel you will need a car. The park and town are too far to walk and are right on the highway.

  : The room was clean and comfortable, however, for the very high price we paid for the room, I would have expected a little more comfort. For example, the towels were very small and thin. There was no chair in the room, so we had to sit on the bed. Overall, we had a very good stay. I just wasn't happy with the high price to stay there for a visit to Bar Harbor.
