  : Coming from Belgium as real foreigners we were so utterly blessed by the friendliness of both the owner and his English-speaking son. Even though we arrived very early in the morning they were waiting for us to welcome us and show us the house. There were some groceries provided which was a great help on our first day. The house is very nice, overlooking the mountains and very close to the lake, where we would prefer to swim before 9 in the morning or after 9 in the evening, when there would be only a few tourists. The house is clean and well equipped and we loved sitting on the balcony or eating at the wooden table at the side of the house. The bedrooms are very nice with very good beds. (Our backs loved the sturdy mattress!) There is a snack bar at the lake which offers some small meals. It might help you out some days because there is no supermarket close by. You find what you need in Baia Sprie though. We had a wonderful time enjoying Romania, the house and the owners! Some info about the house: When you rent the house with 3 bedrooms, you have two floors of house to yourself. The first floor with living room (with balcony at the back of the house) and kitchen. The second floor with three bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. The two bedrooms at the back of the house have an entrance to a balcony. At the left side of the house there is a gazebo with wooden table at your own disposal. Because the house is built upon a steep hill, there is another floor at the back of the house. It has a spacy room with double bed and sitting area. As far as we could see this room has a fridge and an electric kettle but no kitchen. There is also a small bathroom. The apartment has its own entrance at the side of the house. The 'downstairs guests' can sit outside in the gazebo at the back of the garden. All guests share the front gate and the barbecue.
  : The place is beautiful but was a bit less remote than we expected. The area is indeed remote but there were some other holiday houses around us and more are being build or renovated. Though the hotel wasn't operational, the lake attracts many tourists and we didnt like the DJ-party held one weekend. It must be said that they were not making it go on very late though. When you really want to use the washing machine, check with the owner in advance. When we stayed there, there was no dryer but it was warm enough to dry our clothes on the drying rack.
