Renovated in 2017 and idyllically situated between the forest and meadows the Schlössl Hotel Kindl offers a quiet location next to the Spa Park of the picturesque spa town of Bad Gleichenberg. This 4-star hotel features a spa area with a heated outdoor pool an outdoor hot tub a thermal indoor pool and different saunas. Further features of the spa area include various steam baths an infrared cabin a relaxation area with panoramic views of the surroundings and a nudist sun terrace. Massages and beauty treatments are available on request. The newly furnished rooms and suites come with romantic and light period furniture and feature a flat-screen satellite TV with additional 55 HD channels.

All rooms have a balcony. The gourmet restaurant serves many tasty dishes and regional delights. : The hotel is just a little bit out of the main part of town, and surrounded by hills and trees. The buildings are lovely, and the pool and sauna facilities are excellent. The room has nice furniture and is comfortable. It feels more like a spa stay then your typical hotel.
: The rooms dont have a coffee maker or a tea kettle, which we found strange given how much these rooms cost. .The breakfast is a full breakfast, but not as nice as Ive seen it some other hotels. Your table is assigned for your entire stay, and you have no choice where to sit. (Maybe thats a covid thing?) They give tou the bare minimum of toiletries in the room.

: Return visit after two years and a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Some new features like the enlarged outdoor jacuzzi and a enhanced outdoor snack and drink area mixed in with the many pools, seating and relaxation areas both inside and out. No problem if the weather is mixed here. We were given a refurbished balcony room overlooking the pool area, very comfortable with huge comfy chairs! Breakfast was plentiful and very varied right up the end of service, including local and vegan options. We ate dinner in the town, the Delikaterie outstanding again, so can't comment on the six course meals that are offered and choiced during breakfast. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and quiet, we walked previous favourite routes and tried new ones to the rear of the hotel, maps available at reception. Popped in to see the lady up the hill who sells honey. The Zotter Chocolate Factory in Riegersburg is about 25 minutes away and the tour is fantastic, never seen so much chocolate to see and taste with no hurry up to leave! We love this place and will return again!
: The room we were given was above the entrance to the restaurant and main house so there was quite a lot of activity at start and end of day as the staff came and went. Not a disaster though.
