  : My review of Nemetz Hotel is one marked by deep disappointment and mixed feelings of anger and sadness. Although I have never had the opportunity to step inside this place, I have experienced a whole range of unpleasant emotions because of them.We made a reservation at the Nemetz Hotel, letting them know that we would be arriving very late. With my terminally ill cancer wife and two young children in the car, we were on an exhausting journey from the UK and the Nemetz-Motel was supposed to be an oasis of rest for us. However, due to some accidents on the highway, we were very late.After a nightmarish night, when we arrived at the hotel at 2am, we discovered that our access cards were missing from the safe, simply left there. I tried calling all the available phone numbers, including the one on the reservation, but was only greeted by automated messages in Austrian. After an hour of desperation, we had to retreat and sleep in the car. Four exhausted souls spent the night in front of the hotel I made a reservation for.The next day, the hotel staff apologized and promised us a refund. After two weeks, when we found that our money had not been returned, we contacted the hotel again, only to find out that we would not receive any refund because according to them, the keys were in the safe and we did not want to use the room. This was an absurd and insulting reason.As a Genius Level 3 member with two accounts, I was deeply disappointed with the way we were treated. I also asked Booking.com for help, but even they couldn't do more than put me in touch with the hotel manager, who continued to refuse to admit his employee's mistake. Refusing to check the surveillance cameras and admit that I stood in front of the safe for an hour with my exhausted family is unacceptable.So although we have never set foot in the Nemetz Hotel, for us it was a nightmare, the most unpleasant hotel experience we have ever had.
