: Great location. Opportunity to feel part of the local community. Free from lots of tourists. Easy access to a range of local shops, including a wonderful bakery. Very close access to public transport.

: The apartment was very comfortable. It was in the walking distance from the shops, restaurants, the bus stop etc. The walk to the beach was a bit long, and the streets were busy. I thought the resort town should be quieter. But Avola is a rather busy working town. The people are lovely, and the beaches are superb.

: Centrally located to Noto, Siracusa, Noto, Marzameni, Pachino, Portopalo di Capo Passero. Also, near to Catania airport. Avola is not filled with tourist and have a chance interacting with locals. There are nice restaurants and cafes such as Trattoria Chapeau(family run, good food & service); Ci: Vulia (good food & service), Mangiafico @Viale Lido (breakfast, amazing gelato & Ptisserie) & Avveduto Caffee (breakfast).

: Everything looks nice and good, but take into account that the owner will accept you at this location only if he feels like it. If he doesn't like where you come from or simply doesn't want to accommodate you he will use a sneaky method to make you cancel, and invent stuff just to make you cancel on your own. He would write on booking messenger that he is expecting you, and on WhatsApp he will let you know that the location is closed, but you can cancel for free. :))) Then would tell you that you misunderstood, and the location is not closed but he already has guests there, but he forgot to notify booking...so please, you need to cancel...And while he assures you that this is just an accident after he realizes that you escalated the issue to booking he quickly erases all the messages on Whatsapp and his profile picture :)Too bad we were traveling with 2 kids, and they had to wait more hours in the night until we found another accommodation.And now he wants to make it look like i was the one who did not show up at the location. My advice don't cancel when the owner tells you. Keep track of all the messages, and speak with booking for a resolution. Booking will try to help.We traveled to 25 countries since last year and this is the first time when I was cancelled because of my country of origin....His title says Sicilian hospitality... so beware even though the rating is a great one beneath that nice appearance you might find something else.Cheers!
