  : Overall the place looked a bit tired and would benefit from a deep clean, fresh paint and fix a few bits. I was annoyed that breakfast included did NOT mean a cooked breakfast but, of course, the continental breakfast. I was not informed of this until check out and then told to pay an extra 28. This was blamed on Booking.com.

  : Our stay at The Moon Inn in Stoney Middleton was pleasant overall. The room was tastefully decorated and comfortable, with a particularly nice shower and spacious bathroom. While the breakfast provided felt homely and satisfying, we were taken aback by the limited options and additional charges for a full breakfast. The internet connection was reliable, which was especially appreciated as we were travelling for business. Overall, it's a nice place to stay, conveniently located close to our workplace in the North
  : However, our breakfast experience was marred by confusion over what was included, and we were surprised by additional charges for a full breakfast. The evening meal, though eagerly anticipated for its promise of homemade Derbyshire food, fell short of expectations. The limited choices and overpriced menu were already concerning, but the quality of the food was the real letdown. The starters, including what seemed like a gone-off camembert starter and a bowl of oily mushrooms, set a disappointing tone for the rest of the meal. The mains were bland and tasteless, leaving us wishing we had opted for food elsewhere - we went to the Curry Cottage nearby on the second night and this was much nicer quality food. As frequent travellers who dine out often, this was by far one of the worst meals we've had in a while.
