  : It was not communicated on booking that you need to let smartflats know that you want to use the sofa bed. As a result we had a guest who had no sheets for the night.The shower also overflowed.

  : Pictures online do not show that the second bedroom is just a mattress on the floor. The toilet room is poorly built and equipped. Stairs up to second bedroom should have anti slippage as they are very steep and narrow.

  : The flat itself is very nice and it is in a great location. Exactly as pictured... but as others have noted, it is at the top of 4 very steep sets of stairs.
  : Smartflats are unresponsive. The code we were provided to open the main door to the building did not work. The chatbot that responds kept telling us to try the correct code (insulting given we had tried the code dozens of times). After an hour, someone else in the building let us in, and the apartment code worked. When I was finally able to reach someone by phone the next morning, they gave me a new code but the code in the app never updated. The wifi and therefore tv did not work at all. We were there six nights and reported it immediately... then every day that followed until, on day 3, they told me that the problem was to complex to be fixed during our stay. Really? The whole building had no internet and there were no open wifi networks in range making it impossible to work from the apartment. We always rely on wifi when we travel, but we had to go buy Belgian sim cards for our phones just to be able to communicate. No TV with a kid for a week is just not okay. If we hadn't prepaid the reservation, we would have moved to a hotel with wifi. Other reviews complain about this so I'm not sure they even have internet service to this building. I would give smartflats a 0 for customer service. The apartment was somehow filed with mosquitoes. We have no idea where they were coming from. We kept all the windows shut (it was cold during our stay), yet every day there were more. See other reviews that also complain about this and about the blood marks on the walk where prior occupants have killed mosquitoes.
