  : Freshly cooked, homemade, traditional pub food.Newly refurbished bar and comfortable lounge/bar which was well used by the locals too.Very friendly congenial hosts in this family run business which offers excellent value for money all roundWe booked a budget room which was perfectly adequate and had a very comfortable bed and seat in a sunny window. We liked the quirkiness and character of an old building.This small family run hotel provided an excellent base for our 4 night cycling/walking holiday.
  : Might consider the addition of some more healthy, lower calorie options to the menu? Homemade cake available in the afternoon?

  : FIRST time at Amlwch and used as base for the Island of Anglesey. The Hotel was ideal, evening meal was brilliant and value for money along with the price of Ale, for a HOTEL! brilliant. Breakfast was also pleasurable, having experienced the evening meal, Staff were friendly on the back of our Hosts Gary/Veronica being very courteous, and nothing was trouble.

  : Staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts we had were lovely. We had an evening meal also which was very nice.
  : We always book a room with en-suite bath because my partner has curvature of the spine and I'm recovering from spinal TB. We both have to soak our aches and pains away. There was no hot water supply to the bath or shower becuse the thermostat mixer tap was broken. We were told that no other rooms were available for us to swap into and given a key for a single room with shower only at the opposite end of the building. This shower didn't drain because the outlet was clogged with hair and dirt. I have taken photo's of these problems and video of how long it took to walk from our room to the shower room. It was un-usable. We were told that they already knew there were problems with the shower fitting but plumber couldn't come till Monday. Hot water was only available at the sink taps. This room should not have been let out to anyone. We had travelled too far to go home and made plans to meet with relatives on the island and couldn't afford to pay for alternative accommodation. We were trapped there from Friday to Monday and couldn't wait to get home for a hot bath. The stars given are purely for the great hospitality and lovely breakfast. If you book to stay here, check your rooms facilities instantly on arrival.
