: Our two night stay was outstanding in every single way. Pre stay communication is excellent, the welcome received upon check-in is as warm and welcoming as anybody could ask for. The grounds, reception rooms and bedrooms are immaculately kept.Breakfast is a delight. We opted for English breakfast on both morning, which were exceptional both times. The service to go with it was the cherry on the cake for us - absolutely nothing was too much trouble.Location is perfect.park the car on the private grounds and you have a very short walk in either direction dependent upon whether you fancy heading to the lake, or into the centre for a spot of shopping, food or drink (or all three).Well definitely be back at the diamond lodge, thank you so so much for making our stay very special!

: Never stayed in Ambleside before, but this little gem of a hotel was lovely. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, When we arrived our room was upgraded from our original room we booked which was a very nice surprise . The bed was very comfortable, the room was immaculate. The breakfast was very nice . Me and my partner absolutely loved our stay we will definitely be returning.
