: This is really a working estate with orchards, crops in the field, and livestock. Dining at the restaurant is truly a farm-to-table dining experience and, if you're a foodie, eating at the restaurant is a must.
: Our room left something to be desired. It was located at the side of the castle and we suspected it was were servants may have lived many years ago. Perhaps more expensive, nicer quarters are available in other parts of the castle.

: It's an interesting place to rest. The room is not glamorous as the photos show and its internal facilities are simple. Breakfast is interesting because it is served on the first floor, the glamorous part of the castle. The restaurant is outside the castle (a few meters). Its decor is modern and the menu options seek to reflect the 0Km philosophy.

: The views around the castle are very impressive. The buffet breakfast was typically Italian, so don't expect bacon and eggs. But the croissants and breakfast pastries were absolutely divine, down to the patisserie cream in little jars!! Fresh and stewed fruits, juice, cereals, toast, and even a charcuterie board. I detest UHT milk, so was disappointed this was used to make the cappuccinos. Breakfast on the upper terrace, overlooking the valley below was a marvelous experience. It was too cold to use the infinity pool, but the area looked extremely inviting should it be a hot day. Strolling through the many rooms of the castle was an absolute treat...the decor is very tasteful. The grounds were well manicured with plenty of comfy seating areas.
: The bed was way too hard!!! We felt like we were sleeping on timber planks!! We booked self-catering accommodation so that we could cook meals in the evening, however, the "kitchenette" was so ill-equipped, that there wasn't even one item of cookware. We had to ask for a pot just so I could heat some soup. The little fridge is completely inadequate...there is no door on the tiny freezer compartment. Additional lighting is also needed above the stovetop and sink. At this price point, staying here wasn't particularly good value for money.
