  : Good location. Quality toiletries, which are a little OTT.
  : Booking.com don't have facilities to book in a pet. Unable to keep booked room. On the plus side, we ended up in the gatehouse, a self-contained apartment, and a more expensive room than would not allow my dog to stay in? Oddly, the receptionist had to drive the buggy across the site to let us in - seems to be very few staff working here. Cost to take a pet exorbitant. Not all rooms allow pets.Booking.com has the hotel as very pet friendly, but this is not the case. Breakfast on a weekday after the business earlybirds, is poor. juices and cooked offering scant.Bombarded with offering of toast as soon as we were seated, Why do hotels do this? I don't want to be eating cold toast after my main breakfast. Choose something cooked to order, at least it will be freshly cooked. For what was on offer, the cost of breakfast is also exorbitant. Seemed to be lacking in staff numbers for this standard of hotelBeds have duvets, and it was extremely hot the night we stayed. No sheet on the bed, so had to sleep without any covering.Seems the air conditioning unit was making noises even after it had been switched off. My partner had a terrible sleep because of this. Great mention of complimentary free minibar, but all it has is water and a couple of cans of soft drink. All in all, it looks great, feels great, but doesn't live up to what your eyes see.

  : The setting & location was great. EV charging on site meant we could charge overnight. Breakfast was fabulous. Bed was very comfy, however the pillows could have been firmer.
  : Room was comfy but unfortunately we stayed on the hottest night of the year and the lack of air-conditioning was a significant negative for us. The sun shone directly into our room from early morning and even with the fan provided we were unable to comfortably get dressed and prepare for our day at a family funeral.

  : Superb staff - so very helpful, efficient and cheerful. Great breakfasts. Unfortunately we did not get to try the main menu as we were being entertained (and fed!) at family events. The departure gift of apples and bottled water was a very welcome surprise, and helped to keep us hydrated on our journey home.Very relaxed atmosphere and fabulous grounds

  : The room we had was very comfortable, clean and modern. The bed was of high quality. All of the staff were unfailingly pleasant and helpful.
  : The restaurant was very noisy with tables close together under a low ceiling. We were put in the Gatehouse which was a ten minute walk along the driveway. When cars came we had to walk on the grass. This was acceptable for summer but we certainly would not want this arrangement in the winter. I don't need to put on a coat to go for breakfast. There was no decaffeinated coffee in the bedroom.

  : Lovely location, overall the room was nice the staff on reception were super nice and helpful.
  : just a few niggles re the bathroom. The toilet roll holder was on the wrong side so every time you used it the roll fell off. There was nowhere to hang anything in the bathroom e.g robe a hook on the back of the door would have been helpful. Also the pillows were flat.

  : A spa hotel, with no body lotion! No magnifying/make-up mirror.No decaff tea or coffee in room.Bathroom odd split between 2 rooms.Mediocre wine £20 for 2 glasses!
