: Great location, traditional Greek villa feel. Petya was incredible. Very friendly and accommodating. Great recommendations and sorted problems quickly.
: Had some issues with electrics for a couple of days. Petya did have this resolved very quickly and kept us updated on this.

: The setting and Petya! Firstly, the setting. Sitting on the edge of the caldera, overlooking the sea and the rest of the island, it is in an astonishing location. Far from the crowds of Fira and Oia, Villa Maria is quiet and private and Akrotiri town still has much to do with some excellent restaurants, but Id definitely recommend a car. Secondly, the absolutely wonderful receptionist Petya. She was so friendly and helpful, she messaged me personally before we arrived to welcome us and arrange a transfer from the airport, recommended and booked restaurants for us, helped us book our car rental and sorted out transfers when we left. Nothing was too much trouble. This is a special place and she really makes it extra special. The rooms are simply decorated but charming and very comfortable. And the pool is lovely, views are out of this world, with plenty of sun beds and a smaller pool for little ones. Some days we had the pool to ourselves, even in August! Breakfast was a lovely spread with slight daily changes. Some Greek pastries, croissants and spreads with meats and cheeses, eggs and of course, the divine Greek yoghurt. We were so sad to leave and we loved our stay and highly recommend it!
: We loved everything, and this was perfect for our family of four with children who are 6 and 3, but not sure this would be suitable with toddlers. Santorini in general is hilly and rocky so the hotel is situated on a rockface. There are lots of steps and stone and edges, including in the family room.
