: I was the only guest in the entire house. There was no employees on the property. I felt very unsafe. I can’t imagine that they wouldn’t have a property manager on premises but they did not. I had to check out, mid day. Also my bathroom was not cleaned for the 1st 2 nights , all they did was fold the toilet paper they never wiped down the sink or mirror. Thank god for Shannon and The Colonial Inn she got me into their sister property. She was an absolute doll.

: I booked this because it is a nostalgic location for me... both my grandparents and my great aunt/great-grandmother rented the little building that was behind it. I don't remember the names of the owners at that time... my Dad knows... anyway, I thought it would be kind of cool to rent a room. The historical photos on the walls in the staircase were pretty awesome. I know a lot of these places and attractions.
: I had no idea the room I rented was on the third floor (probably my fault, but I half killed myself getting my luggage up there. The property owners were not available at check in (which was middle of day, but OK...) I get the feeling that they are never there for check-in, but I don't KNOW that. The bed was uncomfortable (for me)... and I decided the climb to the top floor was too much for a second night - so I dropped the key where I found it and left the next day. I didn't ever speak to the owners and no one ever inquired to find out why I left so while that was expected, it was still disappointing. I might have gone back (as I frequently visit my parents in NJ, but don't stay WITH them)... and booked a first floor room - but their lack of interest in me as a guest was just not a motivator to go any further with it.
